Spike Richards
Assistant Instructor

Spike began studying with sensei's Joe Aldridge and Tom Widdows in March of 1984. He was a member of the Radford University Martial Arts Club while attending Radford in 1994-95. He also studied Tae Kwon Do for a brief period through the Franklin County parks and Recreation Department also while in college. He holds the rank of Shodan (First Degree Black Belt) in Okinawan Kempo. Spike has taught karate to children in an after school youth program that he started with the help of Professor Aldridge in 2002, the program moved away from the school and continued in Orange until July of 2004. Spike has also conducted a workshop in women's self defense for the Junior Women's Club of Orange. In addition, he has attended seminars conducted by Professor Wally Jay, Charles Stanley and others.

Spike is currently conducting Children's classes on Monday and Wednesday nights at the Orange County Dojo .
